Welcome to The Sleeping Dragon Hostel
in
Shanghai, China

Once an traditional home built in 1924, Sleeping Dragon Hostel is now the perfect stop for backpackers, hostelers and anyone else traveling through Shanghai on a budget. While the building was recently renovated in 2008, it maintains a distinctly classical feel, resulting in a quirky blend of Chinese tradition and modern flair and convenience. Think chandeliers meet bunk beds, elaborate columns meet Beijing opera masks and antique Chinese furniture meets funky, modern artwork.

Our staff is full of fun and helpful bilingual youth who all have experience traveling, living or working in hospitality and especially hostels. The owner, Aaron, is currently living his dream of running a youth hostel. You can often find staff members chatting, eating, playing cards or even enjoying the nightlife with the guests.

Our relaxed attitude and awesome common area make Sleeping Dragon a great place to meet other world travelers and make new acquaintances.
Our colorful and exciting neighborhood is a great place to explore with new friends and our excellent location, 3 kilometers from the Bund, allows easy and convenient access to the rest of Shanghai
.
